The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
