The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 and the scarers scaring 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
