۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 So we led you astray, for we ourselves were erring. 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 For them awaits a known provision, 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 "Is it (the case) that we shall not die, 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 for, behold, it is a tree that grows in the very heart of the blazing fire [of hell,] 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 They will eat and fill their bellies with it, 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
