1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 Fruits, and they shall be highly honored, 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 Are we not then to die 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 They will eat and fill their bellies with it, 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 They can only return to hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
