1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 There shall be no trouble in it, nor shall they be exhausted therewith. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 As if they were eggs carefully protected. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'" 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 What then, shall we not die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 Before them erred most of the ancients, 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
