۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 There shall be no trouble in it, nor shall they be exhausted therewith. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 And they will all turn to one another, asking each other [about their past lives]. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 who would say, "Are you a confirmer? 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 except our first death, and shall we not be punished' 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
