۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 indeed, on that Day they will surrender themselves. 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray." 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 Verily, thus shall We deal with all who were lost in sin: 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for Allah's favour, I should be one of those who have been mustered here. 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 and for the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
