And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
