Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 All the people turned away from him 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him – We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
