Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
