We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
