We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
