Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
