We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
