We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
