We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
