Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 we are they that give glory. 166 They say, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
