Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
