Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 we are the rangers, 165 and we glorify God". 166 And there were those who said, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
