S (Saad)

Sad. CONSIDER this Qur'an, endowed with all that one ought to remember! 1 nay, but the unbelievers glory in their schism. 2 How many generations before them did We destroy? In the end they cried (for mercy)- when there was no longer time for being saved! 3 And they (Arab pagans) wonder that a warner (Prophet Muhammad SAW) has come to them from among themselves! And the disbelievers say: "This (Prophet Muhammad SAW) is a sorcerer, a liar. 4 Maketh he the gods One Allah? Lo! that is an astounding thing. 5 And the Council of them depart, saying 'Go! Be steadfast to your gods; this is a thing to be desired. 6 “We never heard of this even in Christianity, the latest religion; this is clearly a newly fabricated matter.” 7 "Has the Reminder been sent down to him (alone) from among us?" Nay! but they are in doubt about My Reminder (this Quran)! Nay, but they have not tasted (My) Torment! 8 Or, are with them the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Bestower? 9 Do they own the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Let them try on their own to block (the ways of heavens so that Our revelations cannot come to you). 10 [They are but] soldiers [who will be] defeated there among the companies [of disbelievers]. 11 Even before them the people of Noah, 'Ad, the mighty Pharoah, 12 and the tribe of Thamud, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the Wood -- these were the confederates. 13 None of them was such that it did not deny the Noble Messengers, therefore My punishment became inevitable. 14
