S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
SAD. I CALL to witness the admonishing Qur'an. 1 Nay! those who disbelieve are in self-exaltation and opposition. 2 Many a generation We did destroy before them – thereupon they cried out whereas it is not the time to escape! 3 So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, "This is a sorcerer telling lies! 4 "Has he made the gods (all) into one Allah? Truly this is a wonderful thing!" 5 And their leaders went about, “Leave him and cling steadfastly to your Gods! Indeed he has a hidden objective in this!” 6 We never heard of this in the former faith; this is nothing but a forgery: 7 Has this Exhortation been sent down among us only to him, to the exclusion of all others?” Nay, they are in doubt regarding My Exhortation, and are saying all this because they have not yet had any taste of My chastisement. 8 Or do they have the depositories of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower? 9 Or is it that the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is theirs? If so, let them ascend up with means (to the heavens)! 10 But there - will be put to flight even a host of confederates. 11 The people of Noah, Ad and the dominating Pharaoh had rejected Our revelations. 12 Thamood, the nation of Lot and the dwellers of the Thicket such were the confederates. 13 Each of them gave the lie to Messengers and My decree of chastisement came upon them. 14
