And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve, from the Fire! 27 Shall We then treat alike those that believe and act righteously and those that create mischief on earth? Or treat alike the God-fearing and the wicked? 28 This is a Book We have sent down unto thee, blest, that they may ponder the revelations thereof, and that there may be admonished men of understanding. 29 And We bestowed Sulaiman to Dawud; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 30 When there were displayed before him, in the afternoon, well trained horses of the highest breed [for Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause)]. 31 He said: "The love of horses is worthy of desire to me for the remembrance of my Lord;" and when they were out of sight, (he said): 32 (he ordered): “Bring these horses back to me,” and then he began to gently stroke their shanks and necks. 33 And verily We tried Solomon, and set upon his throne a (mere) body. Then did he repent. 34 He said: 'Forgive me my Lord, and give me a kingdom the like of which will not befall any after me, surely, You are the Giver' 35 And so We made subservient to him the wind, so that it gently sped at his behest whithersoever he willed, 36 and all the devils who built and dived for him. 37 And other demons bound in chains. 38 'This is Our gift, give or withhold without reckoning' 39 Indeed an exalted position of nearness awaits him and an excellent resort. 40
