And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil, the same as those who turn aside from the right? 28 It is a blessed Book which We have revealed for you so that you will reflect upon its verses and so the people of understanding will take heed. 29 And We gave unto David Solomon; how excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 30 When there were displayed before him, in the afternoon, well trained horses of the highest breed [for Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause)]. 31 And he said: Lo! I have preferred the good things (of the world) to the remembrance of my Lord; till they were taken out of sight behind the curtain. 32 Bring them back to me; so he began to slash (their) legs and necks. 33 We tested Solomon by (causing death to his son) and leaving his body on Solomon's chair. Then he turned to Us in repentance, 34 he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Forgive me my sins, and bestow upon me the gift of a kingdom which may not suit anyone after me: verily, Thou alone art a giver of gifts!" 35 So We subjected to him the wind blowing by his command, gently, wherever he directed, 36 and the Satans, every builder and diver 37 and others also, coupled in fetters: 38 'This is Our gift; bestow or withhold without reckoning.' 39 And verily, he enjoyed a near access to Us, and a good final return (Paradise). 40
