And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire. 27 [For,] would We treat those who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds in the same manner as [We shall treat] those who spread corruption on earth? Would We treat the God-conscious in the same manner as the wicked? 28 [This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. 29 And We gave to Dawood Sulaiman, most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah). 30 When in the evening were presented to him the standing steeds, 31 he said, 'Lo, I have loved the love of good things better than the remembrance of my Lord, until the sun was bidden behind the veil. 32 "Bring them back to me!" -- [he said] and began to stroke their legs and their necks. 33 Surely We put Solomon to the test and cast upon his throne a mere body. Thereupon he penitently turned (to Us). 34 Saying: "O Lord, forgive me, and give me such a dominion as none will merit after me. You are the great bestower." 35 So We subjected the wind to him, so that it ran softly by his command wherever he wished; 36 And also the Shayatin (devils) from the jinns (including) every kind of builder and diver, 37 and others chained in fetters. 38 "Such are Our Bounties: whether thou bestow them (on others) or withhold them, no account will be asked." 39 And indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return. 40
