Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 But Satan said, "My Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection," 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 "This is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds. 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
