And he who believed said: O my people! Follow me. I will show you the way of right conduct. 38 My people, the life of this world is ephemeral, whereas the Hereafter, that is the permanent abode. 39 "Whosoever does an evil deed, will not be requited except the like thereof, and whosoever does a righteous deed, whether male or female and is a true believer (in the Oneness of Allah), such will enter Paradise, where they will be provided therein (with all things in abundance) without limit. 40 ۞ "And O my people! How (strange) it is for me to call you to Salvation while ye call me to the Fire! 41 Ye call me for this, that I should blaspheme against God and associate with Him that whereof I have no knowledge, and I call you onto the Mighty, the Forgiver. 42 No doubt that what you call me to has no title to be called to in this world, nor in the hereafter, and that our turning back is to Allah, and that the extravagant are the inmates of the fire; 43 So you shall remember what I say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah, Surely Allah sees the servants. 44 Then Allah saved him from (every) ill that they plotted (against him), but the burnt of the Penalty encompassed on all sides the People of Pharaoh. 45 Fire, to which they are exposed morning and evening. The day the Hour is proclaimed (it will be said:) "Admit the people of Pharaoh to the severest punishment," 46 During a dispute in the fire, the suppressed ones will say to those who had dominated them, "We were your followers. Can you now relieve us of our suffering in the fire?" 47 The ones who had dominated them will say, "All of us are now in hell. God has already issued His Judgment of His servants (and no one can change this)." 48 Those suffering in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell: “Call upon your Lord to lighten the chastisement for us just for a day.” 49 but they will say, "Did not your messengers come to you with clear signs?" They will say, "Yes." The keepers will say, "Then pray [for help] yourselves." But the prayer of those who deny the truth is of no avail. 50
