Hast thou not regarded those who dispute concerning the signs of God, how they are turned about? 69 Those who belie the Book and that with which We sent Our Messengers shall soon know. 70 When shackles will be on their necks and also chains; they will be dragged. 71 Through boiling water, and then burnt in the Fire. 72 They will then be asked: "Where are they you took as partners 73 They will say, "They have been lost to us; nay, we did not invoke anything before [that had real existence]." Thus God leaves the deniers of the truth to stray; 74 [The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently. 75 Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the residence of the arrogant." 76 So be patient, surely the promise of Allah is true. So should We make you see part of what We threaten them with, or should We cause you to die, to Us shall they be returned. 77 And indeed, [O Muhammad,] We sent forth apostles before thy time; some of them We have mentioned to thee, and some of them We have not mentioned to thee. And it was not given to any apostle to bring forth a miracle other than by God's leave. Yet when God's will becomes manifest, judgment will [already] have been passed in all justice, and lost will be, then and there, all who tried to reduce to nothing [whatever they could not understand]. 78
