The Amramites (Al-Imraan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 Allah! There is no god but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting, Eternal. 2 He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel. 3 Then those who reject Faith in the Signs of Allah will suffer the severest penalty, and Allah is Exalted in Might, Lord of Retribution. 4 Truly, nothing is hidden from Allah, in the earth or in the heavens. 5 it is He who shapes you in the womb as He will. There is no deity save Him, the Mighty, the Wise One. 6 He has sent down this Book which contains some verses that are categorical and basic to the Book, and others allegorical. But those who are twisted of mind look for verses metaphorical, seeking deviation and giving to them interpretations of their own; but none knows their meaning except God; and those who are steeped in knowledge affirm: "We believe in them as all of them are from the Lord." But only those who have wisdom understand. 7 Our Lord, make not our hearts to swerve after that Thou hast guided us; and give us mercy from Thee; Thou art the Giver. 8 Our Lord, surely You will gather the people for a Day about which there is no doubt. Indeed, Allah does not fail in His promise." 9
