The Amramites (Al-Imraan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 God, there is no god but He, the Living, the Everlasting. 2 He hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture with truth, confirming that which was (revealed) before it, even as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel. 3 Surely they who disbelieve in the communications of Allah they shall have a severe chastisement; and Allah is Mighty, the Lord of retribution. 4 There is nothing in the earth and the heavens that is hidden from God. 5 He shapes you in the womb of the mother as He wills. There is no god but He, the all-mighty and all-wise. 6 He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. but none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord; and none do mind except those having understanding. 7 Our Lord! suffer not our hearts to deviate after that Thou hast guided us, and bestow on us from Thine presence mercy. Verily Thou! Thou art the Bestower! 8 Our Lord! surely Thou art the Gatherer of men on a day about which there is no doubt; surely Allah will not fail (His) promise. 9
