We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And We gave them portents wherein was a clear trial. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
