And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 We gave preference to the Israelites over the other people with Our knowledge 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
