And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And We gave them signs in which lay clear favours. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they better than the tribe of Tubba (name of a Yemenite tribal chief) and those who lived before them? We destroyed them. They were criminals. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
