And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 Even then they say: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba' and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners. 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
