To God belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth. And on the day when the Hour is come, upon that day the vain-doers shall lose. 27 You will see each community kneeling down; and each community will be summoned to its ledger (of good and evil deeds). You will receive upon that day your recompense for what you had done. 28 This Our Record speaks about you with truth. Verily, We were recording what you used to do (i.e. Our angels used to record your deeds). 29 As for those who believe and act righteously, their Lord shall admit them to His Mercy. That indeed is the manifest triumph. 30 But as for those who disbelieved, [it will be said], "Were not Our verses recited to you, but you were arrogant and became a people of criminals? 31 And when it was said, Surely the promise of Allah is true and as for the hour, there is no doubt about it, you said: We do not know what the hour is; we do not think (that it will come to pass) save a passing thought, and we are not at all sure. 32 The evil of their actions will then become clear to them. The punishment they mocked will engulf them. 33 And it will be said: Today We shall forget you, even as ye forgat the meeting of this your Day, and your abode will be the Fire, and none ye will have as helpers. 34 This because you laughed at God's revelations and were taken in by the life of the world." So they will neither be taken out of it, nor will be asked to seek God's favour on that day. 35 All praise be to God, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, Lord of all the worlds. 36 His is the Pride in the heavens and earth. He is the Almighty, the Wise. 37
