NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony). 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error. 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
