Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the swift scatterers 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
