Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER the winds that scatter the dust far and wide, 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
