Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 that what you are promised is certainly true 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
