Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
