Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 and the smooth runners 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
