And heaven – We made it with Our Own Power and We have the Power to do so. 47 We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide! 48 And of everything We have created pairs; perhaps you will take heed. 49 Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 50 and do not set up any deity with Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him. 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone and you will not be blamed. 54 And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers. 55 And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). 56 I do not expect to receive any sustenance from them or that they should feed Me. 57 Surely Allah is the Bestower of sustenance, the Lord of Power, the Strong. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 So ruin is for disbelievers, from their day – which they are promised. 60
