The Stars (Al-Najm)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the star when it descends, 1 Your Companion is neither astray nor being misled. 2 And he does not say anything by his own desire. 3 It is only an Inspiration that is inspired. 4 something that a very mighty one has imparted to him: 5 Endued with Wisdom: for he appeared (in stately form); 6 When he was on the uppermost horizon. 7 Then he approached and came closer, 8 So he was the measure of two bows or closer still. 9 then revealed to his servant that he revealed. 10 His heart lies not of what he saw; 11 what, will you dispute with him what he sees? 12 And indeed he did see the Spectacle again. 13 Near the lote-tree of the last boundary. 14 near which is the Garden of Abode. 15 (This was) when the lote-tree was covered with that which covered it. 16 The eye did not turn aside, nor did it exceed the limit. 17 Indeed he (Muhammad SAW) did see, of the Greatest Signs, of his Lord (Allah). 18 Have you ever thought about al-Lat and al-Uzza, 19 And subsequently the third, the Manat? 20 Shall you have the male issues, and He the female issues? 21 This is certainly an unjust apportioning. 22 They are naught but names which you have named, you and your fathers; Allah has not sent for them any authority. They follow naught but conjecture and the low desires which (their) souls incline to; and certainly the guidance has come to them from their Lord. 23 Shall man have whatever he craves? 24 But to Allah belongs the last (Hereafter) and the first (the world). 25
