Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
