Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
