Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
