Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
