Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 Thamud, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
