Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 while you make merry? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
