▼ 54 The Moon
Al-Qamar 3 of 3
The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Rather, the Hour is their encounter. And that Hour will be most calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
