The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 has taught the Koran. 2 has created man, 3 He taught him eloquent speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
